a time for relaxation

I've finished up with my classes and I get to relax for a couple of weeks before I have to get back to school work. My final grades haven't been posted yet so I have to play the waiting game. Even though I don't like suspense, I'm sure I'll be distracted enough until I receive my grades. Anyways, I don't have many plans for my "summer" break. On June 18th, I'm suppose to accompany my aunt and uncle to visit one of their friends. I haven't met him before so I'm kind of nervous about going with my family. Since I'm not good at making conversation with strangers, there is a good chance that I'll be quiet during the visit. It's not that I'm a shy person but I don't have anything to say when I'm around people I don't know or don't know well enough. I'm not sure if you have heard of the term "awkward turtle" but it can be applied to how I feel around certain people. Awkward turtle is when a silent moment occurs in a conversation or when something random or "out of the blue" happens. When either one of these things happen, a person places one hand on top of another and moves the thumbs back and forth which represents a turtle. The person doing this will say the word "awkward" slowly and loud enough for others to hear. I use the word "suppose" because these are possible plans and as you all know, most plans aren't certain. No one knows what tomorrow will bring so it's some what of a challenge to plan things in advance especially when it's more than a week in advance. My summer break ends before others who are in college so I'll have less time to make plans without worrying about my schedule. I still have an orthodontist visit and my birthday to look forward to but I'll be attending classes in July. This year will be the first year that I'll have class on my birthday. Yes, I'll be sitting in a room listening to a lecture while I could be out doing something with more birthday fun. Anyways, I can't really complain about it because it's not the first time I've had to do something I don't want on my birthday. Anyways, I have nothing left to blog about so I'll end this blog with the short song lyric "school's out for summer!" Which in my case, is a very short summer so the same level of excitement doesn't really apply to me.
