night time blogger, day time learner

I'm just blogging tonight because I haven't blogged in a while. Other than class, I haven't had much happening in my life. I've got a normal routine, the old 9 to 5, and I don't look forward to it. I've gotten use to getting up at a certain time and getting home at a certain time. I'm use to waking up early and it keeps me from sleeping in late on the weekends. On top of going to class, I've been dreaming about class and all of the work I have to do. I wake up at night thinking I've got homework I need to get done in a couple of hours. There have been some days when I forget to eat when I'm hungry because I'm so consumed by work. My eyes start to hurt because I've got to work on typing assignments on my computer most of the time I'm home. I know that this won't always be the case when it comes to school but I also know that I'll have little time for me until this phase is over. During my free time, which is more like mini work breaks, I watch television and I relax until my bones and brain stop hurting. The only positive thing being over worked has given me is that I look forward to sleep now more than ever. Right when I get home from class, the highlight of my day is laying down and going to bed. I'm so exhausted that I don't even think I realize how run down I am. I don't have the time to analyze most things unless I'm multitasking something else with my school work. Anyways, it's getting late and I think you get my point by now. I'll end this blog with "all work and no play makes Teri a very blah girl."

peter cottontail

HAPPY EASTER BLOGGERS! It's Easter today, hooray!, and I extremely love the holiday. When I was little, I would wake up and find an Easter basket near the fire place but I never found Peter Cottontail or any of his friends. For those of you that don't know about him, Peter Cottontail was a fictional rabbit that was in an Easter special called Here Comes Peter Cottontail. There was a sing-a-long song that went with his tale and it went like this. Here comes Peter Cottontail. Hoppin' down the bunny trail. Hippity hoppity, Easter's on its way! Bringin' ev'ry girl and boy, a basketful of Easter joy. Things to make your Easter bright and gay. He's got jelly beans for Tommy and colored eggs for sister Sue. There's an orchid for your mommy and an Easter bonnet too. Oh! Here comes Peter Cottontail. Hoppin' down the bunny trail. Hippity hoppity, Happy Easter Day! Here comes Peter Cottontail. Hoppin' down the bunny trail. Look at him hop and listen to him say, "Try to do the things you should and maybe if you're extra good, I'll roll lots of Easter eggs your way. You'll wake up on Easter morning and you'll know that I was there. When you find those choc'late bunnies that I'm hiding ev'rywhere." Oh! Here' comes Peter Cottontail. Hoppin' down the bunny trail. Hippity hoppity, Happy Easter Day! Anyways, I figured that he was the one sending me the baskets of goodies that had the all too girly porcelain dolls inside. When my family got together for Easter egg hunts, I'd spend my time looking for eggs and that furry critter. While my cousins were looking in the obvious spots, I'd look in the ones that I though Peter Cottontail would be hiding in. You know the ones where a big, noticeable rabbit would be so kids wouldn't be scared and run away? Well, he wasn't behind any trees or logs and I didn't find him in any high grass areas or flowery spots. Eventually, I gave up the search for that mythical and festive creature. After I figured out that the Easter Bunny was a hoax, I gave up on him and I have never gotten an Easter basket since. Anyways, I celebrate Easter every year with my family because in my faith, it represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I think that it is important to celebrate the holidays that commemorate important people in my life. I'm also a full supporter of celebrations because I like decorations, special occasion treats, and of course gatherings. I guess it goes without saying that my last name says it all, HOLLIDAY! Drop the extra l and every one guesses that I'm a holiday loving person which is completely true. All in all, everyone celebrates special occasions in different ways and for different reasons which goes along with the freedom of expression idea. Well, I'll end this Easterastic blog with a saying "Easter comes but once a year so enjoy the day while it's here."

the fools will play on april fool's day

It's April Fool's Day and I'm not completely thrilled about it. I'm not a good prankster and I don't like to be pranked. It's not that I don't have a sense of humor but I don't find some people's idea of humor to be funny. On top of that, people spring news on others and some people believe that news. It's like people over look the fact that information presented on April Fool's Day isn't always true. On the other hand, some people take humor to another level and they do things that aren't quiet legal. For instance, some people decide to egg a person's car or t-p a person's house while other people decide to steal highway signs or spread internet viruses. I don't think these things are funny and I definitely wouldn't commit those acts of disrespectful violence. You may think that these things are humorous and you may have even committed these acts or others for the sake of a joke. People have different types of humor and that's fine as long as you know the line between being funny and getting carried away. I think that April Fool's Day is meant to be a joke and I wouldn't really care to take part in it. Since people have different types of humor, some people can get really offended by another person's actions or words. I know it's dramatic to think that one "silly" little prank can lead to something serious but you never know what event could become a catalyst for other events. It's possible for someone to get seriously injured from performing tricks on a bike and it's possible for someone to become seriously ill from getting a mosquito bite. The point is that tiny things can lead to bigger things that might have been foreseen but that doesn't mean the person wanted the results one was given. I know what happens when I, or anyone else, assumes things which is that I make an a** out of you and me. If you don't get the saying then look at the spelling of the word assume. Anyways, jokes or pranks, or whatever term you use, should be thought about before being told or performed. Even if you have an idea about a certain person's reaction, you never know what kind of audience will hear the jokes or see the pranks. It's important to be cautious and courteous about certain, if not all, events that you take part in or help organize. You can have your own thoughts or reactions about what I typed because everyone has the right to feel or think differently from everyone else. When it comes down to it, the phrases "treat others the way you want to be treated" and "you reap what you sew" can definitely be applied to what I have typed.
